Quality Over Quantity.

At Baptist Orthodontics, you will not be just another number. Each patient receives one-on-one time with Dr. Baptist during each visit, and we always try to accomplish as much as we can during each appointment. This benefits our patients’ overall experience and treatment outcomes.

Modern Technology and Clinically-Proven Products

We believe in using the best technology for our patients! This includes high-tech devices like digital scanners, 3D X-ray machines, and in-house 3D printers. These tools allow for:

    1) Increased patient comfort by eliminating the need for messy impressions in most cases

   2) More accurate imaging of your teeth for better diagnosis, treatment planning, aligners, and retainers

   3) Faster turn-around times, so that you can start your aligner treatment within two weeks, and receive your final retainers in only 2 days!

  4) Less radiation exposure with digital x-rays

Affordability

Beautiful smiles enhance self-confidence, so we strive to make orthodontics accessible to all individuals and families.

Our office provides free consultations and affordable treatment fees. We will also help to look up any insurance benefits that you may have. Pay-in-Full to qualify for a discount, or set up an interest-free payment plan through our office. We also accept Care Credit.

If multiple family members are needing orthodontic treatment, you may qualify for our “Family Discount.” And while we are NOT in network with Medicaid or other state insurances, we are currently extending a discount for patients that qualify for those insurance plans.

Schedule Online

Your time is important, and we realize that you might not be able to contact us during work-hours. Baptist Orthodontics makes it easy to schedule or reschedule your next visit, check your balance,  and make a payment online via our “Patient Portal” located on the upper right side of our website.  Want to set up your online portal access? Contact our office for your initial link to get started!

We also give you the option to text or email our office anytime!

Customized Treatment Plans for Your Individual Needs

Orthodontics is not a “one size fits all” treatment. Your individualized treatment plan is determined by many factors, including:

  • Crowding / Spacing / Flaring / Rotations
  • Impacted teeth/Missing teeth/Extra teeth/Other dental abnormalities
  • Presence of “overbite” or “underbite”
  • Tooth shape and size
  • Facial shape/lip support
  • Dental health (root resorption, cavities, restorations)
  • Periodontal health (Bone support and gum recession)
  • Oral hygiene
  • Compliance with rubber bands
  • Age & expected growth during treatment
  • Amount of time you are willing to spend in treatment
  • Your desired result

During your free consultation, you will have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Baptist and determine the treatment plan that is appropriate for your needs.

Evidence-Based Treatment

We only utilize techniques that are verified to work via evidence-based science. By avoiding gimmicky devices, we can save you needless fees of up to $1000!

Dr. Baptist keeps up with the latest research and techniques in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Baptist is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Illinois State Dental Society, Illini District Dental Society (standing Treasurer), American Dental Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Emergency Care

We are local and readily available to our patients after hours if needed! If you feel that you are experiencing an orthodontic emergency that cannot wait until the next business day, please call our office phone and leave a detailed message with your concerns. Our messages are checked throughout the day, even when we are gone. We can walk you through a solution over the phone or meet you, in-person, at the office if necessary.

Cleft Lip and Palate & Other Complicated Cases

We enjoy treating and transforming patients with “difficult cases.” Dr. Baptist has worked on patients with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities in a private practice and hospital setting throughout her career. Challenging cases require careful planning and frequent communication with other dental specialists which our team excels at doing.

Temporary Build-Ups

A temporary build-up is a tooth-colored resin that is bonded to the outside of a chipped or misshaped tooth to make that tooth look “whole” again. As part of her love for dental cosmetics, Dr. Baptist can perform temporary build-ups in the office to help facilitate orthodontic care. However, if the chip is very large, she may deem it necessary to refer you to a general dentist for a permanent restoration.
